Cyclus Tools Chaincount’r Chain Link Counter

For those who want to know exactly: If a worn chain needs to be replaced, the new chain should be shortened to the same number of chain links as the old one so that shifting works properly.

The Chaincount'r from Cyclus Tools makes this particularly easy and also determines the required number of chain links regardless of the elongation of the old chain. To do this, insert the old chain fitted to the bike into the Chaincount’r, set the counter to zero and mark the chain link with a visible dot. Then, rotate the chain one complete round through the counter until you reach the marked chain link. The Chaincount’r shows you to how many chain links you need to cut the new chain.
