The world-famous tyre manufacturer PIRELLI was founded in Milan in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli and initially produced tyres for carriages. The experience of the traditional tyre manufacturer goes back to the origins of the bicycle, the velocipede, for which PIRELLI was already producing tyres in 1894.

PIRELLI also began producing car tyres in 1901 and expanded worldwide. Just eight years later, PIRELLI entered motor racing and now has more than one hundred years of experience in motor racing.
